individual grants and financial assistance: pha uk policy

we understand the significant impact that pulmonary hypertension can have on people’s lives, including the ability to work and manage finances. we deeply empathise with those who are seeking financial assistance to help alleviate the burden of this condition.

however, as a charity with limited resources, unfortunately we are unable to offer grants or financial assistance to individuals. (the only exception to this is for the provision of dry suits for children on intravenous therapy – please contact us if you would like to enquire about this).

as an organisation, we must ensure that our limited funds are allocated in a manner that is fair, sustainable, and aligned with our mission to support the entire pulmonary hypertension community.

therefore, our primary focus is on supporting our community through developing new information resources and support initiatives, which we ensure are always available without charge – including our many printed publications and materials. you can find all of our resources, and order what you need completely free, here.

while we cannot provide direct financial assistance ourselves, we are committed to helping our community access the support they may need in other ways, and you may find some of the following resources on our website helpful:

  • you will find a list of the benefits you may be entitled to here.
  • help to complete your benefits application can be found here.
  • advice on appealing a benefits decision can be found here.
  • advice around employment and real experiences of stopping work due to ph can be found here.
